"Кэмпфайер герлс" ("Хранительницы костра")Организация девочек, воспитывающая детей в духе здорового образа жизни, патриотизма и хозяйственности. Во многом аналогична "Герлскаутам США" [ Girl Scouts]. Создана в 1910. Более 0,5 млн. членов (1988). Штаб-квартира в г. Канзас-Сити, шт. Миссури. Члены организации получают различные ранги - "Следопыт" [Trail Seeker], "Заготовитель дров" [Wood Gatherer], "Хранитель огня" [Fire Maker] и "Факельщик" [Torch Bearer] - и делятся по возрастным группам (7-10 лет - "голубые птички" [Blue Birds], 10-15 лет - "Костер" [Campfire], 15-18 лет - "Клубы "Горизонт"" [Horizon Clubs]).
